This tone is the popular dotted 8th delay sound. It is a clean tone with the dotted 8th delay sound. The preset comes with the bpm of the delay set to 60, but this can be changed to suit the situation at the ‘Master bpm’ setting. There is a hint of a plate reverb also present. This type of delay sounds best when used with muted notes.
By using the dotted 8th note delay, you can transform even the simplest guitar part, so it becomes much more rhythmically complex and epic sounding, and over the years, famous players such as Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour and The Edge from U2 have created some of their most memorable riffs using this technique.
This Preset was built on headphones and studio monitors and will work as intended on PA/FRFR speakers (Output select should be on Line/Phones). The Cab sim should be turned off if it is intended to be used with a Cab. The Cab sim can be turned off by changing the Output Select in the System menu to any of the amps (JC-120, small amp, stack amp, etc.).
