Tone Capture of Fulltone OCD V1.4 into a Fender Dual Showman Reverb for Mooer Preamp Live. Includes one matched cabinet IR with two more tube variations!
Tone Capture of the must have Fulltone OCD (version 1.4) going into the preamp of a Fender Dual Showman Reverb. Considered as one of the most transparent overdrive pedals, the Obsessive Compulsive Drive was the first pedal to use Mosfets as clipping devices. Another first was their configuration as "hard clippers connected to v-ref" instead of to ground, as was the norm. These things contribute greatly as to why the OCD has such touch-sensitivity...why they react so well when the strings are hit hard or soft, and why they sound & feel different than all other pedals out there, 90% of which are just slight tweaks of the Tube Screamer.
The Fulltone OCD features Enhanced Buffer that by configuring a FET for gain (also referred to as wiring it “Class-A“) all the dynamics return (and then some), even if you only configure it with the slightest amount of gain. The OCD replicates the dynamics and harmonics of a fully-wound tube amplifier with its typical output stage distortion while it also reacts strongly to the volume control of the guitar.
This preset is best used with a power amp (or the FX Loop of an amp) and a cabinet. If you don't intend to use a cabinet please turn on cab sim and either select one of the stock cab sims or use one of the included matched cabinet IRs. This tone capture comes with a Fender Blackface Bandmaster 2x12 IR with two more tube variations!
The tone captures for the Fulltone OCD V1.4 include:
