Finally, I got the chance to deliver with the most convincing way the sonic characteristics of this magnificent amplifier. A precious heritage of an enormous guitar player, now easy accessible in your Headrush device. This Amp Pack contains one Rig with four Ir based profiles of this amp through four classic Mesa Cabs with Celestion V30’s. The amp was profiled in all three channels (three scenes), in a way I find most efficient for Hi-gain and Lead tones.
The equalization of the amplifier was set to a narrow classic V curve while the pre- stack Eq is set to match the M2-85 model of Headrush. The pre-Eq is set in a way that combines the best performance of both the real amp and the model and it is not extremely set up so as you have the margin to shape even more your sound. An optional graphic EQ onboard pre-set with a mid bumb gives you the opportunity to shape the mids as you desire. Furthermore, a selectable ‘’Shred’’ boost is set so you can mimic this added functionality of this amplifier.
The four included Ir based Profiles were captured with mics and setting I found that works best for delivering the sonic characteristics of this setup while in the same time are different enough so they can serve a variety of tones. This Pack was tested with passive and active pickups and sounds great.
This preset is best used when connected to a PA console, audio interface or FRFR speaker as it has cab sim (IR) enabled. If you intend to use it with an amp and cabinet please disable the amp/cab block.
Also compatible with the MX5 (except for some footswitch assignments). Does not include Amp Cloning for the Prime. You need to use the included IRs in order for the Amp Pack to work correctly.
