Mark IIC+ Amp Pack bundle preset for the HoTone Ampero & HoTone MP-80 Ampero One
The original Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ amps were beloved for their high-gain sound and clear cleans. It's no secret that this legendary amp was used by several famous metal bands but it has also been used by well-known hard rock acts, as well as session musicians who have come to rely on the amps' liquidy overdriven tone. Early Mesa/Boogie Mark Series amps were something of a sensation, but even with the line now having stretched all the way to the massively featured Mark V, many fans of these powerful little beasts feel the evolution peaked at the end of the Mark II range, with the Mark IIC+.
The Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ was the last of the Mark II series and featured a more sensitive lead channel - due to its featuring a dual cascading drive stage - whereas the IIA and IIB had a single-stage drive circuit. The IIC+ also had an improved effects loop. Unlike earlier Mark II models, pedals configured for instrument-level input signal could be used without the amp's signal overloading their inputs.
This preset is best used when connected to a PA console, audio interface or FRFR speaker as it has cab sim (IR) enabled. If you intend to use it with an amp and cabinet please disable the amp/cab block.
The Mark IIC+ Amp Pack consists of 4 LIVE (gig/rehearsal) and 4 STUDIO (recording/bedroom) presets with dedicated Impulse Responses for each preset. In order to fully get the best out of the device's capabilities, ALL presets have extra functions. You can try them by turning ON effects that are OFF and also by engaging the EXP pedal.
