Capture of the barking VHT Pitbull 50/ST. JT’s original VHT Pittbull 45 head was made in May of 1996 and shipped from VHT’s shop to Rock Block Music in Nashville, TN. It was eventually purchased by JT. The VHT head accompanied a mid ’60s Fender Bassman head in JT’s session amp rack, and was still brought to sessions and set up on the floor in front of him after the Orange AD30 head took the VHT’s place in the amp rack.
The Pittbull is designed for straight ahead players who prefer to rely on the guitar volume for the clean sound. Two channels of unapologetic attitude with a 50-watt power plant, deliver thick touch sensitive response with a decidedly British persuasion. This is a no-nonsense amplifier with a deceptively simple feature set in which either channel can serve as a Clean, Crunch or Burn channel. The amp's Red & Green channels are similarly configured but voiced slightly differently for a wide palate of pristine clean, slightly dirty clean, spanking crunch and aggressive but harmonically rich overdrive. Combined with an extremely expressive graphic EQ, this allows for quick and intuitive sound sculpting.
This preset can be used either with a Power Amp (or the FX Loop of an Amp) and a Cabinet or straight to an Audio Interface, PA Speakers or FRFR. If you intend to use a Power Amp and Cabinet, please turn OFF the pedal's CAB SIM. Includes both STUDIO and LIVE NVA Matching Cabinet Impulse Responses.
ALL INCLUDED CAPTURES ARE DI CAPTURES, meaning that you can either use them with your ToneX pedal and a power amp/cabinet or select any Stock Cab/IR of your choice when connected to FRFR/PA Speakers or Audio Interface (using either the ToneX pedal or the ToneX Plugin). Comes with a Fryette FatBottom 412 4x12 (F50G) IR and a Fryette FatBottom 412 4x12 (P50E) IR!
